Let’s face it; there are a lot of ways to make money on the Internet.  A lot of these ways deal with making your own website, joining affiliate programs and writing Ebooks.  But what if these ways aren’t ideal for you.  What if you want to do something new to make money on the Internet.  A few years ago, a little thing called a blog was created and changed a lot of things.  The blog craze blew up and soon everyone and their mother had their own blog.  There are a lot of blogs out there filled with mindless information, and not many people know that you can make money from your blog, but you can.

There are several ways to make money through your blog.  A lot of them relate the same to how one can make money on a website as well.  However the advantage to using a blog is that you don’t have to worry about all the coding, HTML, JavaScript and CSS that comes with building a website.  These blog hosting sites offer attractive templates so you don’t have to do any of the work.

Now to make money on the website, the first option you have to become involved is to sell advertising space.  Now there are a lot of ways to do this, and there are several companies on the Internet that provide ways to make money off of advertisements.  The best one is using Google Adsense.   Their reason why this is the best is because Google figures out the best kind of advertising to use based on what your blogs theme or niche is.  You barely have to do any work at all, just let the visitors of your blog, click the advertisement, and you get paid.

Another really good way to generate money from your blog is through paid reviews. Blogs are meant for people to speak their mind.  What a better way to make money that for just talking about how you feel about certain things.  Merchants and others sites pay people to write reviews for their services and products and have them place the reviews on the blog.  This generates traffic to the merchant’s websites, and you get paid for writing the review.  Your basically getting paid for what you were already going to do with the blog.

However, the key to generating a really good income for your blog is to get traffic.  Blogs are based on user interaction and a lot of blogs fail because they can’t get anyone to visit them.  The easiest way to do this is through search engine optimization techniques of SEO techniques.  There are several things one needs to do to get your blog higher up on search engines.  Keywords are the biggest factor.  Places like Google base their search results on keywords so choosing the write ones can make or break your blog. 

The description of your blog when putting your blog into search engines is important as well.  It should be short enough that people will read it, yet have enough information that can still attract visitors.  Putting informational text on your blog is good as well, because some search engines search the content of the page.  There are several techniques like this to gain greater traffic to your blog, but these are the main ones.  Once you get the traffic there, getting money is matter of choosing how you want to make it.  It’s that easy
